This 1969 Mercury Cougar is one of 67 XR-7 convertible examples equipped with a 351ci Windsor V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission for the model year and was further specified with the 351 Performance Group, a Traction-Lok differential, power steering, and power-assisted front disc brakes. The car has been repainted orange with a contrasting hood graphic and features concealed headlights in addition to a power-operated convertible top. Inside, the white leather–trimmed front bucket seats are accompanied by woodgrain trim as well as a Mr. Gasket shifter, an Americana AM/FM cassette stereo, and power windows. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2024, and recent work is noted to have involved adding 14″ styled-steel wheels as well as replacing the soft top, carpets, and exhaust finishers. This Cougar XR-7 convertible is now offered by the selling dealer in Granite Falls, Washington, with a Deluxe Marti Report and a Washington title.

Reproduction 14″ styled-steel wheels wrapped with 225/70 Cooper Cobra tires were added in July 2024. The car was specified from the factory with power steering and power-assisted front disc brakes, while the 351 Performance Group added stiffer springs, heavy-duty shocks, and a larger front stabilizer bar.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are upholstered in white leather and accompanied by color-coordinated door panels as well as a red dash and lap belts. Woodgrain trim accents the interior, and further details include an Americana US-1 AM/FM cassette stereo, a dash-mounted clock, and a heater. The selling dealer notes that the carpets were replaced in July 2024 and that the power windows operate slowly.
